Residence Engagement Award 2011-2012

Welcome

The inspiration for the REA emerged from the 2008-2009 Resident's Council Presidents. Further development of this award continued with the 2009-2010 Council Presidents.

The purpose of the Residence Engagement Award (REA) is to recognize the positive contributions and demonstrated leadership efforts of a first-year student within the residence community. Each residence hall will have one award granted in March of the current academic year. Given the population of Saugeen-Maitland Hall, two awards will be granted.

Though not required, the REA provides incentive for students to return to a leadership position within the residences. Recipients receive a $600 monetary award, and a certificate signed by the President of the University.

The award will be presented at the respective Residents' Council Meetings and celebrated at the annual Residence Leadership Awards Ceremony in April 2012.
